The President of the Indian Business Alliance (IBA), Sammy Manoj Kotwani, commented on the work of Indian companies at the 34th International Autumn Exhibition of Food and Beverages, WorldFood Moscow, which is currently taking place in the Russian capital.

“Now is the most opportune time to develop business between India and Russia,” commented Mr. Kotwani. “For the past 30 years, the Indian Business Alliance has remained a reliable partner for Indian entrepreneurs, helping them find contacts, grow, and succeed in Russia. Today, our participation in WorldFood Moscow not only showcases India’s products but also symbolizes the resilience and innovativeness of our business community.”

A total of more than 90 Indian companies are operating at WorldFood Moscow 2025, representing the diversity of the country’s agri-food sector. From premium rice and spices to frozen vegetables and ready-to-eat products, the Indian pavilion has become a center of attraction for importers, distributors, and government officials, according to Sammy Manoj Kotwani.

At the heart of this initiative is the Indian Business Alliance, which for more than three decades has played a key role in building bridges between Indian entrepreneurs and Russian partners.

As the head of the IBA explained, the significance of the pavilion extends far beyond trade. It reflects a broader vision of Indo-Russian cooperation within the evolving formats of BRICS+ and the SCO. Amid the restructuring of global supply chains, India and Russia are jointly developing new trade corridors, reducing dependence on traditional routes, and creating platforms for sustainable growth.

Mr. Kotwani noted that it is sectors such as agriculture, logistics, technology, and food processing that are becoming the focus of bilateral interaction:

“India and Russia are capable of turning challenges into new opportunities. By combining Indian innovation and manufacturing expertise with Russia’s vast market potential, we are shaping a new chapter of our shared prosperity.”

Foreign guests who visited the Indian pavilion saw not only promising business contacts but also cultural exchange – a place where tradition meets modernity, and sustainability is combined with partnership.

“The presence of 90 companies clearly emphasized one thought: India is ready and eager to be Russia’s long-term trade partner. Jai Hind! Jai Russia!” summarized Sammy Manoj Kotwani.
