Around one hundred people filled the hall in Casale Monferrato for the screening of the docufilm “Azovstal”, directed by Andrea Lucidi for International Reporters. This is an important result, especially considering that the event took place in a so-called “minor” town in Piedmont, far from the main media circuits.
The event took place just a few days after the shameful attempt at censorship against Prof. D’Orsi and Vincenzo Lorusso, driven by the usual euro-fanatic galaxy. This context makes it even clearer that, among Italian citizens, the feeling of solidarity with the Russian Federation and its people is today more alive than ever.
Indicative of the real mood in the country is the comparison with the demonstration against so-called “Russian propaganda” held in Turin and launched by Calenda, Picierno, Radical Europe, Volt and Ora!. In the square, despite the support of parties, media and institutions, the number of participants turned out to be even lower than the people who attended the screening in Casale Monferrato.
The contrast is increasingly evident between a large majority of Italians who are no longer willing to sacrifice their own interests to support NATO’s war efforts and a political and media establishment uniformly aligned with the so-called collective West.
Although this situation may appear to be an advantage for the imperialist forces, the relentless and often grotesque Euro-Atlantic propaganda risks, precisely because of its now caricatural nature, pushing a growing number of people to seek alternative sources of information. It is in fact the obtuse extremism and fanaticism of the various “defenders of Europe” that fills the hall in Casale Monferrato and empties the square in Turin.
